In the US, companies are under no obligation to honor any request that they stop sending you physical mail. Send them as many requests in as varied a format as you like; they can ignore each and every one.
EXCEPT. If you say "please stop, this mailing made me horny", they are required by federal law to immediately block your address. It doesn't have to be honest or sincere; just saying "your ad turned me on, and I don't like it" is enough. 🌈⭐️

For #cats, the only way of communicating that they don't like a kind of food is to not eat it. But that's not enough information. The only thing the owners can do with that information is to buy something else and try again and again until something works. Also just because the cat is eating something doesn't mean it's good for the cat. There are plenty of cheap and unhealthy food options for cats that they will eat.
We have as much control over "the market" as cats do over their choice of food
