The "Waiting on shore" bronze sculpture by Niall Bruton,, overlooking the harbour and Coney Island, remembers all those who were lost at sea.
The inscription on the plaque reads:
Lost at sea, lost at sea
Or in the evening Tide
We loved you
We miss you
May God with you abide

Rosses Point,

Facing the bay, the sculpture takes the form of a woman holding her arms out to the sea in an almost dramatic pose, looking longingly out to the sea, her hair and clothes blowing in the wind.
