We did it years ago, but put it back last year to see if it would resonate with the 600 followers we had on that platform and get some yearbook sales, and … I don’t think we sold a single one to our Facebook followers. We may have gained a couple of followers who were customers who found us elsewhere, but Facebook itself drove no sales (in line with my theories). Why not? Because it’s not 2012. Facebook peaked long ago. <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Meta" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Meta</a>

Jack Yan (甄爵恩)Years ago, we set up a <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Facebook" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Facebook</a> page for <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Autocade" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Autocade</a>. There are about 600 members, gained with next to no promotion. None became yearbook customers. Yes, I know that of those 600, maybe at least 300 are bots. It is Facebook, after all. Itʼs not useful even to promote business.

It has around 600 followers but the only consistent people who might like the posts are friends. It is an entirely useless social media presence for researching readers, asking for feedback, or doing anything that a business might expect from its page. <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Lucire" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Lucire</a>’s page barely even functions because it’s Facebook, and Facebook keeps coming up with bugs to ensure posts don’t get shared. Peak Facebook was over 10 years ago.
