I was surprised by this page from Blitz's The Big Book of Cartooning (1998). I was under the impression that all parallel lines in a scene converge to the same vanishing point. Should objects closer to the viewer get more narrowly-spaced vanishing points (and hence more distortion)? Is this realistic perspective or a cartooning trick?
