The poppies at Pentire Point are a yearly tradition... the evening looked like we were going to get a nice sunset, as we arrived the sea fog rolled in and while I was initially disappointed I eventually began to appreciate how the fog offset the brilliant red of the poppies #photography #landscapephotography #cornwall #pentire #poppy #poppies #fog #lumix

50/100 #the100dayproject I’ve made it to the halfway mark with my project of painting 10-minute landscapes using a limited palette!! It’s been a fun challenge so far, some days things click, other days it’s more of a mess, but I’ve learned something from each one. Keeping it small and simple has helped me focus on mood and shape instead of getting lost in the details, and it’s been a great way to stay consistent without the pressure of perfection.

This is a watercolor painting of Icelandic poppies with an atmospheric background. There are three top view peachy poppies and three side view orangy poppies. There are clusters of leaves and yellow orange berries around the poppies. The atmospheric background is painted with the granulating watercolor sodalite genuine.
