Drought CenterDisastrous storms swept across the Midwest this past week, bringing heavy rainfall ranging from 2 to 18+ inches that reduced the extent and intensity of drought. The highest rainfall totals were recorded in western Kentucky. The storms caused power outages, damaging winds and tornadoes.
