This video achieved 15 views on #MakerTube / #PeerTube in about 7 days. I guess it will have 50 by the end of the day on #YouTube, where I published it in addition some minutes ago.
Still I will always upload videos to MakerTube first. Comments will remain disabled on YouTube, I just can't stand them.

I have a peertube account and have started synching it with my youtube, so if I've done stuff correctly (probably not), it should be slowly pulling all my youtube videos over here:
Today I'm streaming on Twitch and Moonbeam, 1-4:00pm PDT (UTC-7).
I want to swing back to MakerTube, but I'm just going to upload my stream recordings for right now. I think there may be a PeerTube bug, currently that's causing issues for non-platform owners who stream to servers they don't administrate. So... Or, it may just be me! LOL!
Today's stream should hopefully be up tomorrow, but they're very very big files, so... hehe...
My stream today will be Part 2 of the creation of an image done in Procreate based on Rapunzel.

Apologies to those trying to watch my stream on MakerTube... It went down on me again--the third time out of four streams--so I think it may be a PeerTube thing... There's nothing I can do on my end. I'm going to wait to start streaming on the platform again until things get figured out...

Viele Menschen versuchen derzeit sich von grossen Anbietern zu lösen. Auch wir haben uns vor Jahren von Twitter getrennt und auf #Mastodon eine gut funktionierende Alternative gefunden. Kurz darauf haben wir unter BBSindex.TV unser eigenes Videoarchiv gegründet.
Inzwischen ist das Feediverse weiter gewachsen und bietet eine solide Grundlage mit #PeerTube als Videoplattform an. Wir haben uns deshalb bei #MakerTube um einen Kanal beworben und diesen unter https://makertube.net/@bbsindex einrichten dürfen. Aktuell laden wir immer mal wieder unseren Content dort hoch.
Um nicht alles mit unseren Videos in der Liste was es neues gibt zu fluten laden wir nicht alles auf einmal dort hoch. Derzeit pushen wir unseren #Amiga Content nachdem wir bereits unsere #BBS Tutorial Videos dort veröffentlicht haben.
Das bedeutet nicht das wir von der grossen Plattform verschwinden oder unser Videoarchiv einstellen. Wir wollen lediglich Euch alternativen anbieten das Ihr eine bessere Auswahl habt wo Ihr Content anschaut.
Wenn Ihr noch nicht wisst was mit Videos im #feediverse geht dann nehmt Euch doch mal 15 Minuten Zeit und entdeckt diese immer besser werdene alternative. Mehr Creator und wachsende Communitys sorgen dafür das diese Plattformen in Zukunft bestehen können.

It's been 99 days since I started self-hosting my own Fediverse instances. Crazy how time flies!
I've been a bit absent from here this week because I started exploring the world of #PeerTube from the POV of a creator.
I just set up my own account on #MakerTube - so that I can write a guide that is accessible to many (as opposed to skipping this step and going straight to self-hosting).

I have been able to follow it from #Mastodon and #Friendica without a problem, but I keep getting an error message when I try to subscribe with my #GoToSocial username. The exact message: "Cannot fetch information from this remote account." Does anybody have the same issue? (as in: people on GoToSocial, can you subscribe to PeerTube channels?)

Im Ernstfall lassen sich Videos von #Youtube und anderen Plattformen einfach per Link einbinden. #Makertube ist da jetzt der Geheimtip aus Europa, aber die haben schon auch bestimmte Voraussetzungen...
My #hiking video is in the process of transcoding on #MakerTube, which is a #PeerTube instance I use for hosting my video content.
From quick watching currently during the transcoding process, I hear no audio. I hope that this is just during transcoding, as it’s a long upload and transcoding process just to have a video with no audio.
@geheimorga cool wäre es allerdings, wenn sie ein bisschen Geld in #peertube bzw. #makertube etc. packen würden und ihren Kram dort verbreiten.
There is a big inrush of people and registrations on #MakerTube after c't #heise (a big German publisher in IT) uploaded a video about alternative platforms to the big US owned ones. I'm going through the registrations and letting people in, but I can't accommodate everyone. There are just not enough resources, and the focus of MakerTube is limited, see https://makertube.net/about/instance/team

Gestern: Big Tech vs. Fediverse
Tag 20 im #Fediverse bricht an und ich fühle mich nicht mehr ganz so #neuhier
Gestern habe ich mich sehr darüber gefreut, einen Beitrag von @heiseonline bzw. @ct_Magazin im Fediverse zu lesen und sogar über #Peertube (@peertube) auf #Makertube (@MakerTube) anschauen zu können.
Ich habe daraus einen kleinen Fediverse Post sowie einen Linkedin-Post gemacht. Das war das Ergebnis:
Der Linkedin-Post wurde gestern gegen 20 Uhr veröffentlicht. Er ist ganz kurz ziemlich gut angelaufen, wurde aber nach ca. 30 Minuten massiv in der Reichweite heruntergefahren. Er hat im Ergebnis nur 15 Gefällt mir, 4 Kommentare und 1 Teilen erhalten. Das ist angesichts einer Followerzahl von ca. 10.000 einer meiner "schlechtesten" Beiträge mit Blick auf die Reichweite.
Der Fediverse-Post ist dagegen "viral" und die ganzen Reshares haben mich kaum schlafen lassen, da mein Handy immer ein zartes "Bing" aushaucht, wenn etwas im Fediverse passiert. 
Der Post im Fediverse wurde Stand jetzt 72 mal geteilt und 71 mal favorisiert. Zudem hat er 3 Kommentare erhalten.
Ich finde es ehrlich gesagt ziemlich erschreckend, wie ein Algorithmus meine Reichweite je nach Thema beliebig steuern kann. 
Mein Wunsch: Mehr Informationen ins Fediverse. Parallel posten macht keinen Aufwand. Ich poste inzwischen im Fediverse mehr als auf Linkedin.
