The first programming language I learned was Python. I learnt it myself from Gérard Swinnen's book to write automated tests for a pirate-themed board game I had invented (graphics made with Inkscape and GIMP).
Although the development was stuck at ~87% completion and never finished, Python and automated testing became my speciality and paved my career.

Thrilled to start a new part-time challenge in the #testing field, teaching #software testing and #testautomation at #Aveiro #University, the place I graduated long time ago. After many years on the software #development and testing fields, it's time to share knowledge on how to improve #quality from the start. Testing is sometimes not seen as a first class citizen, but it should. It should be part of what we do as developers; a chef doesnt deliver a meal without testing all aspects of the recipe, including the final result
And quality should be a whole team concern. Because in the end we need to address risks/concerns early on and together. Happy testing!
