Complaining along with the other #tmobile customers at the $5 / line hike because...<checks notes> they like money?
I get businesses raise prices, but I'm particularly annoyed as my plan had a "price lock guarantee" which says no price increase, ever, if I didn't change my plan.
When pointing this out to the nice support rep, I was told T-Mobile had "retired" that, then raised the price.
I don't think that word means what you think it means.

Ich denke mal ne Menge Leute werden daraufhin nicht nur #Tmobile in den #USA sonden auch der #DTAG die Tür vor der Nase zuschlagen, denn #Diversität war der Grund für deren Erfolg in den USA!
Aber okay, so kann nen #Konzern halt jahrelange, harte Arbeit von beliebten #Managern kaputtmachen!!!
Die Abkehr der #Telekom-Tochter #Tmobile in den #USA von ihrem #Diversitätsprogramm ist nicht nur skandalös beschämend. Es ist der Beweis von Schwäche, und dass man auf Versprechungen und Lippenbekenntnissen bzgl Integration und Inklusion der Telekom und ihrer Tochter nichts geben kann, selbst wenn sie innerhalb Deutschlands um Schadensbegrenzung bemüht sind. Wie billig!

It has come to my attention that sending Mastodon links via text message are being filtered by either T-Mobile or Verizon.... Specifically, at least in this case, links to infosec.exchange ... I shared something with my family in a group SMS last night and no one received it. Today I'm with members of my family and have confirmed that any message with a infosec.exchange link does not go through but all messages without the link do - this involves messages of JUST the URL and ones with text and the URL. I also tried SMS to just my nephew with the URL and it disappeared into the void as well.
I use T-Mobile and the entirety of my family uses Verizon. I have not been able to test to another T-Mobile customer as of yet. I will test with other instance links in a bit.

Howdy folks. Here is my #T-Mobile dilemma. I do work for a nonprofit which requires that I receive lots of calls/texts. I currently have a PROXY by DIGITS line which I have begun using, and it’s been a great success. My only problem is that I cannot receive SMS short codes, and that’s a necessity. I called customer care this morning to ask if there was a cheap talk and text only plan which I could connect to an old android phone which I have lying around, and it seems there is. The problem is that my primary line is on Go5G Next which is a tax inclusive plan, and the talk and text only plan is a tax exclusive plan. Adding these together on one account is apparently a big no-no with the billing system. So now, I’m stuck. Does anyone have any suggestions on what to do? I don’t need anything fancy. All I want is to connect my PROXY line to the cheapest plan possible simply so that I can receive SMS short codes on an old phone. I still primarily intend to use the number via the DIGITS app on my iPhone and PC. If this is possible, any input on how it can be accomplished would be greatly appreciated. Saw a billboard last week saying #TMobile is partnering with #Starlink, implying it's coming out of beta, and got a text today saying our phone bill will go up $5 a month. If I could trust another carrier not to do the same I'd be willing to pay even more than that to switch.
