I sometimes feel annoyed by colours in pictures. When I edit my photos I sometimes wish I did not have to mind them. They are offen distracting, overwhelming or just don't match. So: I want to learn how to use B&W and since you grow with your tasks I Set myself a little Challenge. I want to post seven B&W images for every day of one week. They also have to be from around my area. If you like them, feel invited to leave a like and a follow.

One of the few remaining large sugar maples along the old Sanborn Road near my childhood home in Meriden, NH.

This tree would have been tapped for the sugarhouse (building where maple syrup is produced) whose foundations lie nearby (October 2022). #ThrowbackThursday #NewHampshire #X100V

The base of a large sugar maple, surrounded by fallen leaves. It has grown around the barbed wire placed there years ago to contain livestock. A much smaller tree nearby has also started to grow around one of the wires passing through the maple.

Downtown Harriman, TN yesterday. Years ago I did a film noir themed shoot with a model friend in a side alley across from this theatre.

Black and white photo of the historic Princess Theatre in Harriman, Tennessee. It looks like a vintage movie theatre with a big facade facing the street.

The theatre was built in 1926, then rebuilt in 1939 after being destroyed in a fire.

I've recently tried to shoot more digital #photography with an #x100v (my GF's) and a D750, but I just don't gel with this as much as when I shoot film with my #Leica M6. Am I becoming a Leica snob ? Is it just that film is so much more fun ? Am I overthinking this ?
