So very much to digest this morning, so glad it is a volunteer work day. Not sure what all is needed at the Nature Sanctuary, so up early to prep and load up just about everything I have to make sure we are covered (and yest most of us bring our own tools as part of the volunteer effort).
Here is a very inquisitive Blue-headed Vireo to help ease the pain of recent news - specifically that out of the Extreme Court.
The aliens are among us! (And they are orange, ugly, and drug addicted.)

Had a troll tell me my photo was AI slop today :/
All my photos are taken by me. There’s been a few cameras over the years but these days it’s mostly a Fujifilm X-T5. I’ve largely been using a 28mm pancake lens because it lets me always have my camera on me.
I post process with #darktable which has been a joy to learn these last couple of years.

A Red Kite at the Holkham estate.
After hours of watching them and some marsh harriers from the other side of the reserve we got back to the car to head home. I put my camera bag down, luckily my camera wasn’t in it as I turned around and saw it flying low.
