Ate alone tonight, so I made a wild caught herring in tomato & mango chutney sauce over golden vegetable rice and broccoli.

Prep time:
- 90 seconds for the instant rice
- 30 seconds for the broccoli
- And... I dont know... 4 seconds to open the tinned fish?

$2.50 for the fish
$1.35 for the rice
25¢ for the broccoli

I splurge on dinner.

The dish sits before two candlesticks, lit. Warm overtones on a beaten dark wood table. Various mixed real and artificial greenery decorate the table.

Wenn die Welt chaotisch ist ,sind solche Alltäglichkeiten wie Brot backen(ohne Backmischung) für mich, die seit Jahren unter ner Angststörung leidet, ganz wichtig. Das beruhigt, lenkt den Fokus ins Hier und Jetzt, spricht alle Sinne an und ist gut für die Liebe. Die geht ja bekanntlich durch den Magen. Mein Liebster nennt das immer " Franzis Hexenbrot" weil eben mit Liebe und guten Gedanken gebacken . Das ist auch eine Form von Magie #brotbacken #brotliebe #slowlife #slowfood #hygge #hyggelife

Back to my new favorite travel topic, Western Norway. I’m so pleased we got to stay in one of these grass roof buildings, because they were so prevalent around the country.

This was one of my favorite stops. As you can see pictured, there were fireplaces in the rooms and you could also sit by the fireplace in the main house.

This was situated at the bottom of a hike, so you could go hiking from the property (though they warned you need to be an experienced hiker and that was definitely true).

From here we were also able to go hiking up to a glacier. And as you can see, even though this was early September, the vibes were pretty autumnal in this area, which was one of the things that really stunned me about Norway at this time of year.

Just by traveling you can experience late summer and early fall depending on where you stay. You’ll see our next stop was pretty summery.

I woke up this morning feeling kinda cruddy & with a terrible migraine, but I took my meds, made some tea, & I just put a small pot of my "holiday potpourri*" on the stove, have the lights turned down/off but for the tree, and am just kinda chilling here enjoying the hygge.
