A couple of birds I spotted at a city park up in the hills on the peninsula today.

The place I was going to go hiking, I discovered, requires advance parking reservations now. (Maybe next weekend?) So instead of a little Pokemon Go at the beginning and a long walk with sightseeing, bird watching and iNat photos, I ended up taking a short walk with a lot of Pokemon Go, not much sightseeing, and at least a slightly different batch of birds even if the plants were all either cultivated or the same weeds I'd see near home.

The first one I wasn't sure of, but iNat thinks it's a thrush of some sort, and someone narrowed it down to a robin. I don't see them much down in the lowlands.

Dark-Eyed Juncos, though -- I see those all over at the right time of year, just not usually as many as I saw today!

A thin-looking bird with gray feathers that would blend well into the rough bark of the pine tree branch it's standing on. Its belly is mostly orange, but a dull, light orange, like it used to be white and it's going to be brighter orange once the orange feathers have finished growing in. It's got a black pointy beak, kind of narrow but not particularly long. Mottled shades of green and white fill the background.
Looking up at a small bird perched on a rough-barked pine branch. Its yellow beak is open as if singing, and its brownish wings are folded. You can see its black head and white underbelly. A few twigs and pine needles cross the image.
