To tell you the truth, I can't stand Mastodon, the instance I mean. The Mods are jerks. Fortunately, the beauty of the Fediverse is that you can choose a different instance or create your very own. Also, you can use various apps to access it.
PS: Please bear in mind that the Fediverse isn't just a wannabe Facebook or Twitter. It can be anything you want it to be, including a place to host videos and photos.

Bisher ging man davon aus, dass der urzeitliche #Raubhai #Megalodon dem heutigen Weißen #Hai ähnelte. Laut neuen Forschungsergebnissen sah er aber womöglich ganz anders aus.
Zum einen sei der Körperbau des Urzeithais sehr viel weniger bullig gewesen als der Weißer Haie. Außerdem liefern die Forschenden neue Schätzungen zur Körperlänge. Statt etwa 15 Meter, wie bisher angenommen, waren die größten Exemplare von Megalodon demnach sogar rund 24 Meter lang.

Tech ppl! My #Moshidon push notifications have stopped working (Android 13). I run #Megalodon on another phone, push Nots work fine. I have 2 #Mastodon accts in both apps.
2ndary issue: my other acct (on lor.sh) has a permanent mark as read icon in the app notifications panel which prevents the number of new Nots showing on the icon in the bottom menu. This is in both apps (different phones).
Both issues began to happen after I installed #ntfy to test #Fedilab Nots. I have uninstalled both.

My lor.sh acct notifications 'mark all as read' icon (double tick) gets stuck and means all notifications come in as read and don't show either the little number at the bottom or unread highlighted. It isn't any master setting afaics. It goes away if I log out everywhere, then log in again at first it's gone, then it comes back. It affects both apps. Push notifications work as normal.

Regarding #Megalodon, you might want to check out #Moshidon. It is based on Megalodon and should be still maintained. (And both derived from Mastodon for #Android).
Others are #Tusky and its sibling #Pachli.

I just realized that my Android client of choice for Mastodon, #Megalodon, had not been updated for a long while.
I googled to see what was up and the main dev said development is not active, and suggested moving over to #Moshidon.
It is very similar to Megalodon, so I feel right at home.

I used #megalodon for past year or so but i really want to see replies threaded so I'm trying #fedilab, with which i can also post to pixelfed (made an account today as i ponder leaving Instagram).
Anyone have any others i should check out?
