I encountered a nasty bug In PachliCurrent (not yet reported), it was bad as it meant I had to clear the apps entire storage - so as a result I'm now trying to find all the settings I'd customized, to get it back to how I'm used to....

All that said, the reason for this post is because I'm having a bit of a "moment".... I *thought* from memory at least, that I had a setting enabled which meant -

when scrolling on my timeline, the tab bar at the top of the screen could be set to hide itself (like with the new post button).

I can't find this setting.. so starting to wonder, am I hallucinating or blind?! 😬🙈

Do you use #obtainium to install Android apps?

If so, good news:

1. #Pachli Current now has its own release page on GitHub, which means you can install it using Obtainium. pachli.app/2025/04/03/obtainiu has details, with screenshots.
2. The Pachli download page (pachli.app/download/) includes Obtainium links for both Pachli and Pachli Current.

Salut,

Le fil accueil que j'ai devient illisible, car ça dévient impossible de suivre tout, et c'est logique car j'ai envie de suivre plein de trucs, les # là, et de gens.
Alors comment faire:
- suivre encore plus de monde et de # en espérant que les repartages et donc redondances font que je louperai pas ou moins des messages intéressants aux moments où je regarde
- créer des listes
- regarder "tendances"
- autre idée?

@timnitGebru @ajsadauskas @kim_harding @NatureMC If you use Android I've been working on anti-harassment controls in #Pachli.

While they're intended for more typical forms of harassment people might face, they also help for spam notifications / direct messages from new accounts or accounts you don't follow.

pachli.app/pachli/2025/02/28/2 has more details.

If you are regularly harassed on Mastodon I'm very interested in any feedback about the effectiveness of these new controls.

@nikclayton will #Pachli also show all the followers of a Mastodon user ? I find it really odd to be able to read the count of followers of someone and then only see a far smaller number of them when clicking on that "followers" count (in #Tusky).

The oddest part is that if I "open profile in browser" I see what looks like being a full list of followers, so the info IS available from the web, why would #Tusky (and I believe other clients) don't show it then ?

@gisgeek still not persuaded ?
