Munich's Schloss Nymphenburg and Old Town

After breakfast at the Le Méridien, we visited Schloss Nymphenburg. After, we returned to central Munich for lunch & explored the old town a bit more. We visited two churches, the Asamkirche and Frauenkirche, and walked around the exterior of the Neues Rathaus.

Hey friends, one more #history post from me. This is a carriage that was used for the coronation of King Ludwig II. It's exhibited in the Schloß #Nymphenburg / the royal stables.

There's hardly any spot that's not decorated with gold. Not quite my style - but I'm also hardly ever the candidate for a coronation.

What was new to me as well: only emperors and kings were allowed to drive cabins with 8 horses.

Hey friends! I told you that I had a company group event this week, right? We went to #schloss #nymphenburg in Munich. Well, the interiour is not quite how I'd decorate my house ;-) But it's pretty impressive

Especially the huge paintings showing the surroundings of the place back in 1700. It just shows HOW SMALL cities were at that time.

Yeah well, not just hiking and cycling here but also a bit of #history ;-)
